Dharan Bhedetar Tour Overview
If you want a peaceful and exciting trip in eastern Nepal, the Dharan Bhedetar Tour is a great choice. This tour takes you to green hills, fresh air, beautiful views, and places that feel close to nature and culture.
Your journey begins from Dharan, a lovely town in Province 1. It is clean, quiet, and full of friendly people. Many people visit Dharan because it has good roads, tasty food, and fun places to see. You can also find small markets, temples, and gardens. It is also where the famous Dantakali Temple is located. This temple is very special for Hindus. Many people go there to pray and feel peaceful. You can also walk around the town and enjoy street food like mo:mo, sel roti, and fresh lassi.
After exploring Dharan, your trip continues to Bhedetar, a hill station only 16 kilometers away. It is not far, but the road goes up the hill and gives amazing views. The air gets cooler as you go higher. Bhedetar is perfect for people who want to relax and enjoy nature.
One of the best places in Bhedetar is Charles Point. It is named after Prince Charles, who once visited the place. From this spot, you can see faraway mountains when the sky is clear. You might see Mount Everest, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga if the weather is good. You can also look down and see the town of Dharan like a small painting. Many people take photos here because the view is so beautiful.
In Bhedetar, you can enjoy staying in small hotels or guesthouses. People there are kind and helpful. You can walk around the hills, enjoy the forests, and hear birds singing. It’s also a nice place to just sit, drink tea, and watch the clouds move.
The tour usually includes a visit to Namaste Jharna (Waterfall), which is a short walk from Bhedetar. The waterfall is small but lovely, and the sound of the water makes the place peaceful. If you like adventure, you can also go hiking around the nearby hills and trails.
This tour is great for families, students, or anyone who wants a short break from busy city life. You don’t need to walk too much or climb high mountains. Just bring a light jacket, walking shoes, and a camera to capture the nice views.
In the evening, you can return to Dharan or stay in Bhedetar, depending on your plan. Watching the sunset from the hills is a quiet and happy moment to remember. The cool wind and fresh air help you feel calm and refreshed.
The Dharan Bhedetar Tour is short but full of sweet memories. It’s a trip where you feel close to nature, learn new things, and enjoy the beauty of Nepal’s eastern hills.
Dharan Bhedetar Tour Itinerary
Expand AllOur journey starts in the early morning from Kathmandu. We drive all the way to Dharan, which is about 380 kilometers away. It takes around eight and a half hours to reach there by road. On the way, we stop to eat lunch and stretch our legs. The road is long, but there are nice views of rivers, hills, and villages.
After lunch, we keep moving toward Dharan. When we finally reach, we check into our hotel and rest. If we have some free time in the evening, we can take a walk around the town. Dharan is a peaceful and clean place. It has good food and friendly people. At night, we enjoy a tasty non-veg dinner at the hotel and then get a good night’s sleep.
We wake up early and get ready for a special morning. First, we visit the famous Dantakali Temple. This is a very old and respected Hindu temple. Many people come here to pray and feel calm. After that, we go to Budha Subba Temple. This temple is also special because the bamboo plants there don’t have tops and you never see any crows around the place. People believe that if you write your wish on the bamboo or tie threads, it will come true.
After visiting the temples, we go back to the hotel for breakfast. Then we pack up and leave for Bhedetar, a small hill town not far from Dharan. When we reach Bhedetar, we check into the hotel and rest for a bit.

At night, we go back to the hotel, have a nice non-veg dinner, and rest after a full day.
In the morning, after breakfast, we check out of the hotel and begin our journey back to Kathmandu. But before leaving, we stop at Pathivara Temple. This is a small temple in Okhre that is related to the famous Pathivara Temple in Taplejung. It is a peaceful place where people go to pray.
After visiting the temple, we also stop at Bhedetar Bazar. This is a small market where we can do a little shopping. You can buy local snacks, handmade crafts, or small souvenirs to remember the trip.
Then we start our drive back to Kathmandu. On the way, we stop to have lunch. We reach home in the evening with good memories and stories to share.
